Nap Transitions
Transitioning to one less nap is a big deal! It usually means naps are lengthening and it also means more ease in living your life and not being tied to the house for nap times. And while that may be exciting, don’t rush nap transitions solely based on your child’s age. They will show you when they are ready.
Some common signs that your child is ready to drop a nap are:
Their overall nap length is becoming increasingly shorter.
The last nap of the day is harder to get or is too close to your desired bedtime.
They are protesting more at bedtime and taking longer than normal to fall asleep
They’ve started waking up earlier in the morning.
