Meet Andria Gordon

OWNER & FOUNDER OF HAVE BABY. MUST SLEEP.

Certified Sleep Consultant, Mama of 2, Lover of Carbs and Laundry (don’t judge!)

Mom of two boys (Lenny and Nate), Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant by The Institute of Pediatric Sleep and Parenting™ with a specialization in newborn sleep (in case that’s why you’re here) and former fellow sleep-deprived, highly caffeinated, desperate parent ready to do just about anything for even an hour of uninterrupted sleep.

Seriously, I’ve been where you are. I was obsessed with consuming absolutely everything I could find about sleep because I wasn’t getting any of it so I truly understand how you feel. That’s why I’m so passionate about helping you get the sleep you are so frantically seeking.

I would love to support you on the path to getting more rest and having less stress. If you’re ready to go back to drinking hot coffee and thinking about something other than sleep, book a chat with me below so we can talk some more about the needs of you and your family.

Meet Karen Nussbaum

Certified Sleep Consultant, Mom of 2, Lululemon Devotee and Sleep Fanatic (of course!)

Mom of two young and (mostly) awesome boys who keep me on my toes, Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant by The Institute of Pediatric Sleep and Parenting™ and a parent who was all too familiar with sleep deprivation and the detrimental effects it can have on the family.

I live, breath and eat sleep (ok, maybe not eat it, but if I could, I would) and I am on a mission to help other tired and anxious parents teach their babies (and reteach themselves) how to sleep well so they can have the same life-changing experience, peace of mind, restful nights, sanity and renewed energy that I got once my babies learned how to sleep independently.

So if you’re in need of someone to show you how to gently get your baby sleeping soundly through the night while giving you your “me” time back, then I might just be the sleep fairy godmother you’ve been wishing for! Are you ready? I am! Book a call with me below and let’s chat about how I can support you.

Meet Emily Abrams

Certified Sleep Consultant, Mom of 1 + 1 dog, Chai Latte Sipper and Reality TV Binger

As someone obsessed with getting a good nights’ sleep, becoming a mom and experiencing the realities of sleep deprivation really threw me for a loop! I remember the days when the clock would strike 6pm and the anxiety would begin to build. What will tonight look like? Will I get any sleep? How will I function tomorrow if I’m up all night? I really struggled.

And that’s where my journey to becoming a Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant began. Because once we helped my son develop healthy sleep habits, everything changed! Now I’m on a mission to debunk they myth that sleepless nights are an inevitable part of parenthood, because they aren’t a badge of honour and they don’t have to be your reality.

I care deeply about helping tired families sleep well again. If you dread going to sleep because you’re afraid of what the night will bring, you’re not alone. I’ve been where you are and there is light at the end of the tunnel, you just might need some help to get there. I’d love to be your partner on your journey back to sleep.

Meet Michelle Cukier

Registered Social Worker, Certified Sleep Consultant, Mom and Reality TV fan

I’m a Registered Social Worker with 10 years of experience and a Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant by The Institute of Pediatric Sleep and Parenting™.  I’m also a Mom to two young children and know first hand how lack of sleep can impact us and those closest to you. I’m in the thick of it right now!

When you’re a person who values your sleep, being a new mom can really rock your world. The ability to feel like yourself while navigating your role as a new parent is a challenging one (these feelings can remerge with subsequent children).

As a therapist and sleep consultant, I understand that sleep is a need (not a luxury) and the important role it plays in helping us regulate and manage stress. As a parent, getting my children rested has been key to helping me be the best version of myself.  This is why I’m so incredibly passionate about restoring rest to your entire family and ensuring your transition to being a new (or new again) parent is a seamless one.

Becoming a parent does not mean you’ll never sleep again. I strive to help families get rest and feel like themselves again and am grateful I can help parents reach a new (and rested normal).

Meet Laura Reisman

Registered Social Worker, Mom of 2, Amateur Home Chef

Along with a Masters in Social Work, I am a certified Perinatal Mental Health Therapist with accreditation by Postpartum Support International and the Canadian Perinatal Mental Health society. As a trauma informed therapist, I utilize multiple therapy modalities to support my clients.

My practice focuses on the health and well-being of women and families working through infertility, perinatal mood disorders, generalized anxiety, sex and intimacy, childhood/adult-based traumas, and difficult partner and family relationships.

As a mom of two who navigated the challenges caused by fertility struggles and who suffered through many sleepless nights with my babies, I’ve been where you are. Yearning for the flexibility of life pre-children, desperate for sleep, and wanting to feel like myself again while riding the rollercoaster of emotions linked to parenthood. Once I got a handle on my postpartum health and was sleeping through the night, my mental, physical, and relational well-being improved greatly. This is what I want for you.

You are not alone, reaching out for help is your first step to healing. I will work with you to meet you where you’re at and can help you identify, develop, and strengthen your coping skills, while also finding effective solutions to individual issues you are experiencing. I am committed to creating a stimulating and supportive therapy environment while we work to build a strong therapeutic alliance together.

Meet Sarah Goodman

Registered Social Worker, Mom of 2 + 1 Husky/Sheppard, Mac & Cheese Lover

As a certified Perinatal Mental Health Therapist through Postpartum Support International, I am passionate about supporting mothers at all stages of their parenting journey. After experiencing my own hardships while trying to conceive and the struggles of being postpartum during a pandemic, I recognized the importance of a holistic approach to care on this journey. I support women with mood and anxiety disorders, the transition to motherhood, navigating the fertility journey, processing grief and managing difficult relationships.

When I had my first child, I feared the sleep deprivation and it greatly impacted my ability to think clearly and make decisions. Once my baby started sleeping through the night, I was finally able to enjoy parenthood, reconnect with my partner and feel more like myself again.

In my practice, I aim to create a space where my clients can share their concerns in an open, casual, and non-judgmental space, and I tailor treatment goals and interventions to meet individual needs. I use an eclectic approach influenced by various therapy modalities to support my clients.

During our time together, we will work to overcome your challenges through self-reflection, building support systems and learning new skills. At a time when so much is asked of you, I want you to feel validated, supported and cared for.

Meet Jaye Appotive

Registered Social Worker, Mom of 1, Lover of Fitness and Candy

I am a Registered Social Worker with over 10 years experience working with parents and children during periods of transition. I’ve developed a deep understanding of the complex needs of children and adults coping with major life changes and recognize how sleep deprivation makes every other life task so much more challenging.

Despite my extensive work history and understanding of child development, my own postpartum experience rocked me in a way I didn’t expect. My body was no longer mine and I couldn't make sense of the emotional roller coaster I was on. Not to mention the shift having a little one makes in your relationships and the idea of no longer having a partner but rather a roommate.

Now that I have reached the other side and can enjoy a warm cup of coffee in one sitting, a long bike ride, and the occasional date night, I want to give back and help normalize the postpartum experience for other women and families.

In my practice, I take a client/family-centred and goal-oriented approach with realistic expectations so you can find joy and happiness in the little moments. Through a variety of evidence-based approaches, I work with you to build confidence and develop strategies to manage the challenges so you can show up as your best self for you, your partner, family and friends.

Sound Familiar?

Baby on the way and you had it all figured out. Between yourself and your partner you just knew you would totally be able to handle all the waking hours, a baby would have.

Then reality struck and it wasn’t as easy as the books and commercials made it seem…

Despite having a perfect plan and every contraption and gadget out there, your plans went out the window the instant little one was born. Before you knew it you were sleep-deprived and obsessively Googling everything you could find on baby sleep because it’s all you could think about (and long for).

We get it!  We’re on the other side of this now and while we made it through, we didn’t do it without help. So if you are ready to stop going it alone, let’s do this thing!

We will be here to support and guide you. We promise to make it fun and will even make you laugh along the way while you learn to relax around all things baby and child sleep.

Book a complimentary call and let’s see if we’re a fit!
